Kazan Aircraft Production Association (KAPO) and Tupolev have delivered another Tu-214 to SFS "Russia"

According to Tupolev's information, Kazan Aircraft Production Association (KAPO) and Tupolev have delivered another Tu-214 to Special Flight Squadron "Russia" on the date of Tu-214's first flight 15th anniversary - March 21st. AEX.ru

Medium-haul aircraft Tu-214, designed by Tupolev design bureau on the basis of Tu-204 under the guidance of chief designer Y.V. Vorobyev, has performed its maiden flight on March 21st 1996. Kazan Aircraft Production Association has started serial production of the aircraft in 2000.

The aircraft has received airworthiness certificate in accordance with airworthiness standards FAR-25 on January 10th 2001. First two serial jets have been acquired by Dalavia. Tu-214 has performed its first flight with passengers on-board on July 4th 2001.
