According to the airport’s press-service, Moscow airport Domodedovo (DME) has successfully passed the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and received certificate, approving the compliance of airport’s ground operations procedures with internationally acclaimed safety standards. AEX.ru
Airport’s compliance with ISAGO standards lowers the number of factors affecting the flight safety, decreases a number of aircraft damages on the ground, reduces traumatism, prevents acts of unlawful interference and optimizes the number of airport’s auditors.
It should be noted, that Domodedovo airport has passed the certification on compliance to all seven parts of ISAGO standard: organization and management (ORM); aircraft ground movement (AGM); aircraft handling and loading (HDL); passenger handling (PAX); baggage handling (BAG); cargo and mail handling (CGM) and load control (LOD).
"Now Domodedovo is the only airport in Russia, CIS region and Baltics, certified according to all seven parts of ISAGO standard and it has been included in the register of organizations having passed full ISAGO audit. Among these organizations are airports of Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Zürich, Porto, Faro and Athens ", - Domodedovo spokesman added.
ISAGO is a standardized audit program for ground service providers at the airport.
ISAGO is modeled on the successful IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program. The ISAGO program uses internationally recognized quality auditing principles. The inspection is carried out by skilled and experienced auditors.
ISAGO puts a model of operational and safety risks management at ground service providers’ disposal. For the first time, the system allows registration and exchange of audit results.
