He also noted that demand for light helicopters is increasing in China; they need helicopters for private and corporate transportation. "There are a lot of rich people in China, who can afford such purchases, especially in the southern part of the country ", - said Egorov.

The modernized Mi-34S1 will be manufactured since 2012.

"We have modernized the helicopter, installed uprated engine, replaced some of the systems, changed the frame construction, installed modern avionics, - explained the holding's representative. - We consider China as one of the key markets ".

According to Egorov, China also takes interest in Russian heavy helicopters Mi-26 which has shown good performance during relief of the severe earthquake consequences in Sichuan province. China has already acquired three such helicopters - the most weight lifting machine in the world - and plans to acquire one more.

Multi-role medium helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-171 are the most popular in China.

"We are also promoting Ka-32A11BC on the Chinese market, it can be used for fire fighting ", - Egorov added.

Special service center for maintenance of Russian helicopters is being created in Qingdao in the network of joint venture Sino- Russian Helicopter Service. "The center will be opened later this year ", - said Egorov.
