According to company's information, Aeroflot and Boeing have signed an agreement on delivery of six Boeing 777-300ER and two 777-200ER. AEX.ru
"These jets will seriously increase our capabilities in the area of route network development, - said Vitaly Savelyev, CEO of Aeroflot. - We plan to use Boeing 777 on traditional and new routes, for example for flights to Cancun, Sanya, Ho Chi Minh, Guangzhou, Mumbai, Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, San-Francisco, Singapore, etc. In addition, we intend to use these jets in cooperation with SkyTeam during Sochi 2014 Olympics and Soccer World Cup 2018. Optimal combination of saloon capacity, aircraft's maximum range and operational characteristics of Boeing 777 is very important for us, along with wide variety of means for providing high level of comfort to the passengers. Thanks to the capacity of Boeing 777 we get the extra capabilities for expansion of our activities at the airports with limited number of slots and for opening of new long-haul routes ".

Russia is a very important partner in Boeing 777 program. VSMPO-AVISMA forming part of "Russian Technologies" manufactures titan parts for undercarriage, wing and pylons of 777. Russian engineers and programmers from Moscow Boeing design center have taken an active part in development of 777-300 ER model.

9 out of 13 members of SkyTeam alliance have ordered Boeing 777. The total order of SkyTeam was 161 Boeing 777.
