According to ARMS-TASS, manufacturer of "Mi" helicopters Rostvertol company has increased its profit ot 1.3 billion roubles in 2010. Rostvertol's net profit was only 400 million roubles in 2009, CEO of the enterprise Boris Slyusar reported.
Rostvertol's pre-tax profit was 602.1 million roubles in 2009 and the net profit was 487.2 million roubles. Thus the company has increased its profit by almost three times in 2010. The tax bill was 1.7 billion roubles in 2010.
As explained by Slyusar, the correlation between government order (on behalf of Ministry of Defense, EMERCOM, Ministry of the Interior, Federal Border Service) and export deliveries in the total output of Rostvertol was 65 to 35 % in 2010. The enterprise plans to increase segment of export deliveries to 50% in 2011 in order to secure its footing on the international markets.
According to Rostvertol, the enterprise contacted foreign trade organizations of France, China, Brazil, Venezuela, Indonesia, Myanmar, India, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine and other countries. Following the results of these meetings, delivery contracts on 12 Mi-28N, 28 Mi-35M, 30 Mi-35P and 4 Mi-26T have been signed.
In particular, Rostvertol have signed a contract on delivery of 24 Mi-35M helicopters in Azerbaijan in October 2010, delivered 3 Mi-35P to the Indian air force in September, delivered the new helicopter Mi-26TS to China (3rd helicopter of this model delivered to China in last three years), and also delivered the second batch of Mi-35M to Brazil (in the network of contract signed at the end of 2008). Furthermore, Rostvertol arranged a demonstration of Mi-26T in India in October 2010 within the bounds of tender on heavy lift helicopters delivery. In addition, the enterprise arranged demonstration of Mi-28NAe's capabilities in November 2010 in the network of tender on combat helicopters delivery.
Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation has acquired 3 batches of Mi-28N (8 helicopters altogether) from the enterprise in November 2010 as a part of execution of the government order.
