Deputy Minister of Defense: Russian air forces will have acquired more than 600 jets and about 1000 helicopters by 2020

According to PRIME-TASS, aircraft stock of the Russian air forces will be radically renewed. As explained by Principal Deputy Minister of Defense Vladimir Popovkin, the air forces will have acquired 600 new jets of various types and about 1000 helicopters by 2020.

"It is planned to acquire more than 600 jets - Su-34, Su-35, PAK FA, MiG-35S, the next-generation strike fighters Su-25SM, military transport aircraft An-70 and Il-76MD-90А, and about 1000 helicopters of different roles: Mi-26, Mi-8MVT-5, Mi-8AMTSh, Ka-52, Mi-28NM, and some special helicopters ", - said V.Popovkin.
