Russian multi-role Ка-32А11BC helicopter with coaxial rotors has received the type certificate in Brazil in November 2011. The type certificate allows operation of Ка-32А11BC helicopters at Brazilian market. We remind you that Russian Helicopters Holding Company, forming part of Oboronprom, has signed a contract on delivery of Ка-32А11BC multi-role helicopter with Helipark Taxi Aereo in December 2010. The first deliveries are planned on 2012. This helicopter will be used for commercial carrying of industrial cargo as an external load.
Acquisition of Ка-32А11BC is a Helipark Taxi Aereo's pilot project on expansion of helicopters model range and the first order of these helicopters by Brazilian operators. The company may acquire more Russian helicopters of this model in future. In case of signing more contracts, the holding company "Russian Helicopters" and Helipark Taxi Aereo may look into the possibility of creating the joint service center for maintenance of Ка-32А11BC helicopters.
Helipark Taxi Aereo has acquired two Russian Mi-171A1 transport helicopters, which now also have a Brazilian type certificate, in November 2010.
Certification of Ка-32А11BC in Brazil has been performed in accordance with the schedule of production and delivery of the helicopters and it is a very important milestone in the network of this contract’s implementation. At present Ка-32А11BC is certified in the world’s largest regions: North and South America, Europe and Asia. In particular, the helicopter has received the type certificate in Brazil and India (2011), in Europe (2009, EASA.IM.R.133 certificate). Ка-32А11BC has been certified in China, Indonesia and South Korea in 2008 and in Mexico – in 2005. The helicopter has acquired a supplement to the type certificate in Canada in 2006, which allowed transportation of official passengers (the original certificate has been issued by Canada in 1998).
