Russian airlines have transported more than 59,4 million passengers during 11 months of 2011

Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines during a period of time from January to November 2011. AEX.ru

According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines was 154 081 347,44 thousand passenger-kilometers, (+ 13,1% as compared to the same period of the last year). The cargo turnover was 4 515 502,69 thousand ton-kilometers (+ 4,3%).

During the accounting period (January – November 2011) Russian carriers have transported 59 469 181 passengers (+12,3% as compared to the same period of 2010). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 891 976,52 tons (+5,4%). The passenger load factor has remained at 77,5% mark and the commercial load factor was 65,1%.

Russian airlines have transported 4 760 669 passengers in November 2011 (+13%) and 92 060,67 tons of cargo and mail (+5.1%).

The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic during the period from January to November 2011 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 12 975 449 passengers (+24,5% as compared to the same period of 2010), Transaero - 7 859 185 passengers (+27,5%), UTair - 5 265 744 passengers (+28,4%), Sibir’ - 4 710 780 passengers (+5.4%), Rossiya - 3 274 106 passenger (+14,1%).

The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo - 334 928,6 tons of cargo and mail (+16,9% compared to the same period of 2010), Aeroflot - 144 501,63 tons of cargo and mail (-3,7%), Volga-Dnepr - 55 460,7 tons of cargo and mail (-31,1%), Polet - 49 864,31 tons of cargo and mail (+11,5%), Transaero - 46 055,15 tons of cargo and mail (+27,6%).
