According to the head of Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko, the total passenger traffic in Russia will be around 110 million passengers in 2011. The scope of air-transport activity in Russia will exceed the indicators of 1991 for the first time this year. It is notable that only 20 million passengers have used the air transport in Russia in 2000.
The Federal Air Transport Agency forecasts the continued growth of passenger traffic in Russian Federation in 2012. «The development of regional aviation, Russian aircraft navigation system and modernization of ground airport and airfield infrastructure should contribute to the further increase of passenger traffic», - Alexander Neradko noted.
