Answering the question on what the airline’s passenger traffic will be this year, the Armavia’s president, Norayr Belluyan, said: “This year the traffic is not so good – it will be around 600 thousand passengers, but we expect this indicator to increase next year due to acquisition of new aircraft and expansion of geography of flights”.
During presentation of the aircraft at Zvarnots airport, the owner of Armavia, Mikhail Bagdasarov, noted that he gladly flies onboard of such jets himself and said:“I believe that our passengers like this jet too, all the more so as it is the second Boeing 737-500 in Armavia’s fleet. Armavia will acquire new Airbus А321 with 220 seats and a new Boeing with 270 seats next year». As for new routes, Bagdasarov said that the next one is Milan and then - Thailand.
