The testing of modernized Su-25UBM strike-fighter, which may be used for pilot training and performance of combat assignments, has been successfully completed, Lenta.ru reports.

As reported by a source, close to the military-industrial complex, the act on successful completion of state testing has been signed by Commander in Chief of the Russian air forces, General-Colonel Alexander Zelin. The Command of air forces has recommended starting the serial production of Su-25UBM.

The performance of Su-25UBM has not changed as compared to Su-25 UB, but the aircraft’s combat capabilities have increased significantly. In the network of the jet’s modernization it has been equipped with new “Bars” navigation target acquisition system, which includes command center processing and display system, short-range navigation satellite system and radio intelligence station. Following the results of modernization, the navigation accuracy has increased three times and bombing accuracy of ballistic bombs has reached the same level as the bombing accuracy for guided armament.

According to the source, the bombing accuracy during forward flight on the altitude of 200-300 meters will be 10-15 meters, the positional accuracy with satellite correction – 15 meters and 200 meters – without correction. Su-25UBM is able to perform combat assignments in any time of day and adverse weather conditions. The jet’s maximum flight speed is 950 km/h and its combat radius is 300 km. The strike-fighter is equipped with 30-mm cannon and 10 stations for armament with a total weight of up to 4.4 tons.
