Teams of Strategic Missile Forces and Aerospace Defense Forces has successfully performed the test launch of short-range countermissile of the Russian anti-ballistic missile system, Interfax reports with reference to the official representative of Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The launch, performed at 12-01 Moscow time at Sari-Shagan firing range (Kazakhstan), was aimed at confirmation of technical characteristics of ABM system’s countermissiles operated by Aerospace Defense Forces", - said the representative of the Ministry of Defense.
