Following the results of November the passenger traffic of Domodedovo airport was 1 849 898 passengers (+8.3% as compared to November 2010), the airport’s press-service reports.
The airport’s passenger traffic has increased by 15.6% during the period from January to November.
Domodedovo has serviced 23 864 598 passengers during eleven months of 2011 (+1 611 069 passengers as compared to the whole last year). Domodedovo airport will service the 25-millionth passenger of the year on December 21st for the first time in the history of Moscow air hub and the whole Russian aviation industry, the airport noted.
The passenger traffic on domestic airlines in November 2011 was 824 267 passengers (+24,8%). During the period from January to November 2011 the passenger traffic on domestic airlines was 9 384 028 passengers (+16,7%). The greatest growth has been recorded on the following destinations: Novy Urengoy, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok. The passenger traffic on these destinations was 1 696 000 passengers (+47,3%).
The passenger traffic on international airlines has decreased by 2,1% in November 2011 and was 1 025 631 passengers. During the period from January to November 2011 the passenger traffic on international airlines was 14 480 570 passengers (+14,9% as compared to January-November 2010). The greatest growth has been recorded on the following international destinations: Antalya, Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Burgas and Munich. 2 382 000 passengers have been transported on the specified destinations during the period from January to November 2011 (+56,2% as compared to 2010).
The number of flights in November 2011 has increased by 6,2%: 18 852 takeoff and landing operations have been performed. Following the results of January-November 2011 period, 223 860 flights have been serviced (+15,3% as compared to the similar period of 2010).
The cargo traffic of Domodedovo airport in November 2011 was 17 368 tons (+2,7%). During the period from January to November 2011 Domodedovo’s cargo traffic has increased by 19,7% to 172 676 tons.
