S7 Training and IFC have opened the Full flight simulator for pilots of An-148 aircraft

Russian pilots now have a unique simulator for assimilation of new aircraft. Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC) has opened the Full flight simulator for An-148 at S7 Training center. AEX.ru

It is the first indigenous simulator in Russia, which meets the requirements of Flight Training Device Level D with movement and display systems.

The contract on installation of the simulator has been signed last summer by IFC and S7 Group during Farnborough International 2010 airshow. The simulator has been developed and manufactured in accordance with a contract between IFC and Tranzas (St. Petersburg), signed at MAKS-2007.

S7 Training is the first Training Center, which has the FFS for An-148. Moreover, in accordance with the contract between IFC and S7 Group, a Procedure Trainer for emergency-rescue training (made by AKKO) has been installed and educational interactive computer class has been built up.

Thus, the training system for the new type of aircraft has been created by S7 Training for the first time in the history of Russia. In fact, the whole training center for An-148 has been created.

According to CEO of IFC, Alexander Rubtsov, the amount of investment in the project was about $20 million.
