The airlines of Russia will transport around 63-64 million passengers following the results of 2011 (+11-12% as compared to the last year), said Alexander Neradko, the head of Federal Air Transport Agency. It has been reported by RIA Novosti.
57 million passengers have been transported in 2010. Thus, as noted by Neradko, the forecast of air traffic’s growth (13%), made in the beginning of the year, has almost been confirmed.
"The aviation has already transported 60 million passengers", - added the head of Federal Air Transport Agency.
According to him, the traffic volume will keep on increasing in 2012. It will be possible for a number of reasons, including deliveries of new SSJ 100s and bringing An-148 aircraft to the market.
