The second Boeing 777-300 has joined the fleet of Transaero. At present Transaero is operating 76 aircraft, the airlines reports. AEX.ru
The acquisition of another Boeing 777-300 is the next step towards implementation of Transaero’s strategy in the area of fleet expansion and renewal. Transaero has the largest fleet of long-haul wide-body aircraft in Russia, CIS Region and Eastern Europe, the company noted.
The passenger cabin of the liner has been fully retrofitted for provision of the highest level of comfort. All the interior elements are made in accordance with the carrier’s special order. In particular, the new chairs trimmed with Alcantara (the material usually used for trimming of expensive cars and yachts), individual entertainment systems are installed in all classes, the carpet mats and hatracks have been replaced. New working equipment has been installed for convenience of the crew, Transaero added.
The acquired Boeing 777-300 as well as the previous one, already operated by Transaero, has a four-class cabin configuration: the first Imperial class, business-class, premium economy class and tourist class. The Imperial class chairs are made in the form of semi-enclosed passenger cabin, have a built-in massage function and are able to fold out at 180 degrees. They are equipped with 23” monitors.
Comfortable expanding cocoon-type chairs are installed in business-class cabin with a built-in function of back support. The seat pitch is 152 cm and the seats are able to fold out at 160 degrees. The seats are equipped with 15,4” monitors.
The seat pitch in the premium economy class is 91 cm. The seats in premium economy class and tourist class are equipped with 8.9” monitors.
The total aircraft capacity is 373 seats.
The aircraft will perform its first commercial flight from Moscow to Khabarovsk in the next few days. It will also be operated on routes: Moscow – Vladivostok, Moscow – Tel-Aviv, Moscow – Dubai, the airline noted.
