AeroKZ (Kazakhstan) and Antonov (Ukraine) have signed an agreement on creation a joint venture for construction of An-140-100 jets in Kazakhstan. The document has been signed within the framework of Kazakh-Ukrainian business forum, which has taken place in Astana, Rosbalt reports.
CEO of AeroKZ company, Vladimir Kuropatenko, has underlined that the value of this project is $150 million, taking into account the construction of runway and infrastructure of flight test airfield in Alma-Ata Region.
According to Kuropatenko, the joint venture intends to produce three aircraft in 2012, eight ones in 2013 and 12 jets in 2014. "In future we will increase the output to 20 aircraft per year", – he said.
Аn-140-100 is the modification of An-140 turboprop regional short-haul liner, intended for passenger and cargo-passenger transportation.
