Sukhoi Superjet 100 has performed its first auto-land in accordance with IIIA category

The test SSJ100 (serial number 95004), piloted by a crew of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA), including chief pilot Alexander Yablontsev and test pilot Vadim Shirokikh, has performed the first two auto-lands in accordance with IIIA category with different configurations of wing-flap system on November 21st in Zhukovsky, press-service of SCA reports. These flights have started the new series of development and certification tests of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aimed at expanding the operational conditions of the liners and obtaining of supplement to the type certificate in the area of automatic landing in accordance with IIIA category. This supplement will allow performing the landing in a tough weather conditions without any interference of pilots until the start of aircraft’s run along the runway.
