Ural Airlines has started the construction of pilot training center, the airline reports. AEX.ru

Today the corner stone and symbolic gold medal have been laid in the foundation of new center at the territory of airline’s office. CEO of Ural Airlines, Sergey Skuratov, has stated during solemn ceremony that the equipment mounting will be started in February 2012 and the center will be opened in early April. Two training cockpits, fully simulating the aircraft’s real cockpit, will be installed in the building with the height of 14,5 meters and the area of 700 square meters.

One of the simulators will be intended for pilots of Airbus А320/321 and the second one for pilots of long-haul aircraft, which will be put into operation by the airline later. «State-of-the-art simulator has been acquired in Netherlands directly from the assembly line. It has been produced specially for Ural Airlines. This center is very important for us and its construction is aimed at increasing the flight safety. We will be able to give our pilots the scope of training defined by the flight instructors. Unfortunately we are limited in time while training in Europe, the standard training is tailored for 3 hours», - Sergey Skuratov reported.

The value of the center is estimated at €7.5 million. Such equipment is owned by the largest airlines: Emirates, Air France, Lufthansa, etc.
