The president of UAC, Mikhail Pogosyan, and the pilot, Sergey Bogdan, are among 10 most respected military men of Russia

The president of United Aircraft Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sukhoi Company, Mikhail Pogosyan, and the Deputy Chief of Sukhoi design bureau’s flight service are among the most respected military men of Russia, press-service of Sukhoi Company reports. The corresponding list has been issued by Russkiy Reporter magazine. AEX.ru

Mikhail Pogosyan has some outstanding achievements in development of advanced Russian arms. In many ways thanks to the efforts of enterprises chaired by him the country is maintaining the military parity with the Western countries, the magazine underlines. Military aviation provides significant part of the revenues from export of Russian arms. It is no surprise that after all the successes of Mikhail Pogosyan has been elected president of UAC. The state also accounts on his talent of manager in the area of civil aircraft.

Sergey Bogdan is included in the list for testing of fifth-generation fighter. He was the first pilot to fly PAK FA. It is just one of his achievements – he has taken part in testing of almost all the fighters developed by Sukhoi in the latest years (he has mastered 55 aircraft and their modifications). He was the first pilot of first serial Su-30МКI and Su-35 multi-role fighter.

This list also includes: Anatoly Antonov – Deputy Minister of Defense, Arkady Bakhin – the Commander of Western Command troops, Nikolay Makarov – Chief of General Staff, Nikolay Pankov – secretary of state-Deputy Minister of Defense, Sergey Sokolov – Marsall of the Soviet Union, head of the club of veteran commanders, Boris Obnosov - CEO of Tactical Missiles Corporation, Igor Sulim – pilot-instructor of Lipetsk Air Base, Makhmut Gareev – General of the Army, president of the Academy of Military science.
