The frequency testing of Tu-204SM has been completed

According to the press-service of Tupolev, the frequency testing of airframe, landing gear and control system of Tu-204SM has been completed at the flight test and development base in Zhukovsky. AEX.ru

The testing has been carried out by the specialists if TsAGI with participation of Zhukovsky flight test and development base and Tupolev. The obtained data is the basis of developed evidentiary documentation on safety against flutter, shimmy and oscillations “elastic aircraft – automated control system”. The amplitude-response curves will be the basis for analysis of potential derivation from the performance standards during the whole service life of the aircraft.

These frequency tests have completed one of the most important stages of Tu-204Sm’s certification.

Tu-204SM is the new medium0haul liner from the family of Тu-204/Тu-214. Aircraft Performance Characteristics: maximum takeoff-weight - 108 tons., maximum passenger capacity – 215 passengers, maximum range with 215 passengers onboard - 4800 km., with 166 passengers - (two-class configuration) - 6000 km. At present Тu-204SМ is successfully undergoing the certification testing. Start of serial production is planned on 2012.
