Transaero will acquire business version of Boeing 737–500 aircraft

Transaero will acquire business version of Boeing 737–500 aircraft. It has been declared by the CEO of the airline, Olga Pleshakova. AEX.ru

«The airline enters new segments of business. We will acquire the new VIP-jet in the next few days. We have converted Boeing 737–500 in the business version with VIP-cabins. This jet also has a distinctive livery made in accordance with our “Imperial” class style, said Pleshakova in her interview to Kommersant.

«We will convert at least one more such jet and we are also considering possibility of converting one long-haul Boeing 767. Other jets used for corporate transportation do not have such level of comfort — either they have a small fuselage, which prevent passengers from standing tall, or they have a conventional cabin. We have a vast experience of corporate flights, but we have used conventional Boeing 737s before. However, seeing the rise of demand for comfort corporate transportation, we have made a decision on conversion and I believe it was the right one: the first aircraft already has a long-term schedule of flights on behalf of our partners», - said Pleshakova.

She has also noted that the schedule of regular flights will not be affected by extraction of three aircraft. «We have massive deliveries of new aircraft — Boeing 777, Boeing 747, 737–800, Airbus A320Neo», - she said.
