Airbus and MAK, the Interstate Aviation Committee, have held a two-day seminar in Moscow devoted to flight safety control system.
A total of eighty people took part in the event, including civil aviation administration officers, employees of airlines, training centers and aircraft manufacturing enterprises.
Airbus specialists lectured the Russians on ICAO recommendations in the sphere of flight safety, and Airbus’ own standards in the given sphere. They also gave their views on how the flight safety control system shall function, how threats shall be identified etc. They also explained now AirFASE program is carried out: it is to do with decoding of the flight recorders and making debriefings utilizing their data.
The seminar was held in the frame of the ICAO – MAK RER/01/901 projects centered on improving flight safety and aircraft maintainability. In 2009 Airbus and Russia’s ministry of transportation signed flight safety agreement. Besides, the European maker participates in a number of Russian governmental programs in the given area.
