DniproAvia, operating out of Kiev’s Borispil airport is looking to add ten E-190s to its existing Embraer fleet of smaller E145 twinjets.

The respective agreement with the manufacturer comes with an option for five more aircraft, according to Embraer. The deal is estimated at US dollar 400 million. The new airplane will come with passenger cockpits seating 104 passengers. Deliveries shall start later this year, with two aircraft expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of this year.

The new Brazilian jets will be operated jointly with AeroSvit, another Ukrainian airline which is also member in Aviation Group Alliance. It is interesting to notice that AeroSvit previously signed for a batch of similarly sized Antonov An-148 and An-158 aircraft. These indigenous designs similar in capacity to the Embraer E-170/175 and E-190/195 respectively. AeroSvit already operates two An-148-100B regional jets with two-class cabin layout for 8 business and 60 economy class passengers.
