The Moscow airport plans to serve 21.7 million passengers this year, according to its business plan recently approved by the board of directors.
Over the year, the number of takeoff and landing operations is expected at 204 thousands. To support such a traffic, investments into infrastructure are planned at Rouble 1.2 billion. Operational activities in 2011 are expected to generate revenue of Rouble 10 billion.
Sheremetyevo’s strategic targets for 2011 are to maintain high aviation safety standards, to render airline customers and passengers high-quality services, to rise income from non-aviation activities.
The board of directors demanded that in future Sheremetyevo airport administration will run open tenders for purchase of various equipment, spares and supplies etc. and that these tenders must come in an electronic form. By this the directors are understood to have meant the use of Internet technologies. Quarterly reports about these tenders shall be put together and submitted to the Ministry for economics and trade, as well as the Russian civil aviation authorities.
