The Information Satellites Systems (ISS) plans to put 21 spacecraft into orbit this year, and deliver products and render services worth Rouble 24.5 billion.
This statement comes with a rider from general director Nikolai Testoedov that the lion’s share of the launches are scheduled for the end of the year, but their exact timing is dependant on availability of launch vehicles and “launch windows” of the Russian cosmodromes.
Past year ISS delivered its customers products and services worth Rouble 17 billion, a record figure. In 2007 the company deliveries came to 11 billion, with respective figures for 2008 and 2009 being 9.6 billion and 14 billion respectively.
ISS, previously known under the name of Scientific Industrial Association of Applied Mechanics (Russian acronym NPO PM), is the world’s largest satellite maker with over 1,160 satellites designed and deployed. The current space constellation of ISS-designed satellites lists 76 items of which 53 are fully functional.
