The board of directors at VASO, Voronezh-based aviation plant, has approved of the company’s production plan for 2011, calling for ten aircraft.
The plan was prepared and submitted for consideration in late December. The main objective for the New Year is to assemble nine Antonov twin engine regional jets each seating 68 to 75 passengers.
Besides, VASO plans to complete one more Ilyushin Il-96-400T wide body freighter.
Parts production calls for manufacture of airframe structural members and engine pylons for the Airbus jetliners as well as Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jet and Ukrainian-made An-148.
Looking beyond 2011, VASO makes preparations for completion and delivery of two Il-96-300 passenger quads in 2012. These airplanes are destined for the Administration of the Russian president.
