In its press release dated 13 January Hawker Beechcraft, a world leader manufacturer of business, special mission and trainer aircraft, mentions Russia among other geographic areas with signs of recovery after the worldwide economic downturn.
The manufacturers say it expects sales growth outside of North America to continue to outpace sales growth within North America. Ten years ago, the US market accounted for more than 70% of new sales.
Hawker Beechcraft sees growth potential in emerging markets that, among other areas, includes Russia. Demand in the emerging markets is stronger than in the territories with established business aviation markets.
The drivers of demand for new aircraft purchases are slowly returning to pre-financial crisis levels, the manufacturers claims. The company is beginning to see stabilization in key market indicators and is cautiously optimistic that the market recovery will begin in 2012.
