Eugeny Bachurin is expected to leave Moscow Airlines

It is likely that the general director of the airline, Eugeny Bachurin, may leave his position before the airline finds a new owner.

Among new candidates there are Aleksei Menitsky, who previously worked in the airline’s management, Sergei Obryvalin, who previously acted Aeroflot commercial director and Andrei Kalmykov who holds this position now. Reportedly, the case for Bachurin’s possible dismissal is his conflict with Russia’s Ministry of Transportation Igor Levitin.

Meantime, Bachurin is widely regarded as one of most professional and efficient airline managers in Russia. Before joining Atlant-Soyuz he represented one of major western airlines in the Moscow market, then worked with Aeroflot. After he become general director at Atlant-Soyuz, the airline’s debt has been reduced from Rouble 14 billion to Rouble 4 billion.
