Domodedovo served 282 flights in half-day of 29 December

From 0:00 till 13:00 Wednesday December 29 Moscow Domodedovo airport served 282 flights, says the state corporation for managing air traffic (Rosaeronavigatsiya).

Of those, 127 were outbound and 155 inbound. The airport has completed serving all flights delayed on Tuesday, December 28. The flights delayed on Sunday and Monday had been served already. The delays caused a massive gathering in the airport of passengers awaiting calls for boarding. By now the situation has largely eased, according to the airport press service.

Meantime, Sheremetyevo also reports about easing of the situation, with passengers on Aeroflot’s delayed flights having largely been served by Aeroflot or put onboard other airlines’ aircraft.

The delays in the two major airports of Moscow occurred on Sunday, December 26, and largely continued till the middle of today. Some passengers were reported to have lost their patience and attacked airport employees.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the benevolent organization looking to quality of services being rendered to customers and consumers, as of the evening of Tuesday, December 28, a total of 86 flights were still delayed in Domododovo. At extremeness, the figure was over 400, after the airport suffered electricity blackout on Sunday, December 26. The passengers were reported to be outraged by the delays.
