Bad weather has produced impacts on eight Russian airports, - these felt difficulties with maintaining takeoff and landing operations.

Flights were delayed in the airports of Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-upon-Amur, Magnitogorsk, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulianovsk, Jaroslavl and Moscow. On Sunday Aleksander Neradko, head of Russian civil aviation authority, the Federal Air Transport Agency, briefed journalists about the current situation in these locations.

He provided some data on Moscow airports. Domodedovo delayed one hundred flights, and Sheremetievo about fifty. Four more inbound flights had to be diverted to Vnukovo due to delays with anti-icing treatment being applied to runways of the former mentioned airports.

Neradko further said that the worst happened to Domodedovo, and that the situation out there would remain difficult for awhile until all consequences and aftermaths of the power blackout are overcome. He warned passengers of outbound flights to listen carefully to update on the situation in the Moscow airports.
