Installation of Antonov An-148 full flight simulator has been completed at the S7 Group training center in Domodedovo airport.
Time is needed for final tuning of the device, which shall be completely set up and running in February 2011.
The simulator corresponds to Flight Training Device Level D, and is first such unit to have been designed and built in Russia. It comes with an advanced motion and visualization systems. The simulator was designed and built by Transas company based in St. Petersburg under contract with Ilyushin Finance Company. It was signed at MAKS’2007.
The agreement about installation of the An-148 training equipment was signed between S7 Group and Ilyushin Finance Company at Farnborough’2010. Today, specialists of S7 Group, Transas and Ilyushin Finance are working together on final tuning of the simulator so as to complete its installation in January 2011 and render it fully operational the following month.
The S7 Group training center will also have a number of other An-148 simulators for training of pilots, cabin and ground crews. A procedural training device is provided by AKKO company for training of cabin crews. Work on it is 90% complete. The whole set of the An-148 training devices shall be in place and fully operational in February 2011.
