Moscow Domodedovo international airport is planning Initial Public Offering (IPO) for 2011, news agencies reported on 26 November 2010.

According to a number of sources, the placement may take place in the spring of 2011. The airport may attract up to US dollar 1 billion. One of the sources commented: “Domodedovo thought on IPO before the world-wide economic crisis struck, and now this idea is again under consideration. I think the move will be made in April. They may attract some one billion dollars”.

Domodedovo is the largest airport in Russia by the number of passengers served in 2009, reportedly at 18.7 million. In the Moscow air knot it is competing with Sheremetievo and Vnukovo.
