Rossiya Airlines is recognized as the best among Russian air carriers, taking the 32nd place in the global rating of the world's safest airlines, compiled by the German research center Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC) in 2020.
JACDEC annually publishes the results of a rating based on data on aviation incidents with aircraft of the world's largest airlines. The research center analyzes data on all aviation accidents over the past 30 years. The work of carriers is evaluated on a wide range of parameters – from passenger turnover to the state of the aircraft fleet. One of the decisive factors in evaluating is the statistics of emergencies, whether it is a landing with a failed engine, a broken liner or rolling off the runway.
Rossiya has secured 32 positions, thus significantly improving its result (47th place in 2019) compared to the rating of the previous year. Thus, the airline has the first place among representatives of domestic civil aviation. Passenger safety is a key parameter of transportation for the airline. Increasing passenger traffic every year, the company constantly improves security algorithms, following the strictest international industry requirements and expanding its own standards developed within the airline.
High safety indicators are especially relevant for flight operations in difficult epidemiological conditions. Rossiya does everything possible so that travelers do not worry about their health. The airline is closely monitoring the release of methodical recommendations of oversight bodies and appeals to the world's leading carriers, using relevant epidemiological measures of passenger protection, governing the transport industry in terms of systematic removal of restrictions of air traffic.
The airline controls the safety of passengers at every stage of flight operations. Rossiya is a holder of the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate since 2007, which is annually confirmed by the successful completion of the IATA operational safety audit for compliance with the requirements and recommended practices. The auditors of an international organization audit the airline against more than a thousand operational safety requirements. Control affects all areas of the airline's production activities: organizational structures and management, safe flight operations, flight planning and control, maintaining airworthiness and aircraft maintenance, ground handling, aviation security, etc.
