This year, the Southern MD to receive over 55 modern aircraft

In 2016, formations and units of the 4th Air Force and Air Defence Army as well as naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet will continue receiving new and modernized aircraft within the Re-equipment plan of the Southern MD.

Over 20 multirole Su-30SM fighters, 5 modernized Su-25SM attack aircraft and over 30 helicopters of different purpose will be delivered to the air formations.

Army aviation units will be reinforced with over 30 helicopters of different types: Ka-52, Mi-28UB, Mi-26T, Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-8MTV5, Mi-8MTPR.

Last year, the Southern MD received over 60 new and modernized aircraft within the State Defence Order.

  The new Superjet100 (RA-89140) has been handed over to Red Wings. This is the 200th aircraft of this type produced by the United Aircraft Corporation and the first SSJ leased to the airline from PSB Leasing. The term of the contract is 20 years. Another 3 aircraft of this type were received by the airline this year from STLC. For the aircraft, an inverse version of the airline's livery was chosen (not the standard white and red, but red and white). Now the airline's fleet has 2 aircraft painted in such manner, the second one is A320.
