The French manufacturer of batteries – Saft, and Irkut Corporation (Russia) signed a contract at Paris Air Show-2015 (was held at Le Bourget) for delivery of batteries for the new Russian medium-haul airliner – MS-21, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Saft’s press-service.
Paris Air Show was held during a period from June 15th to June 21st 2015 at Le Bourget airport 12 km to the northeast of Paris. Le Bourget is one of the world’s largest airshows held once in two years. The first show was held more than 100 years ago. It is the largest and most prestigious event in the area of aerospace industry.
The French company invited guests to visit them at Le Bourget airshow in light of signing the major contract for delivery of batteries for MS-21 aircraft developed by Irkut Corporation.
MS-21 aircraft should replace Tu-154 and Tu-134 jets. There are three members of MS-21 Family: MS-21-200 (150 seats), MS-21-300 (180 seats) and MS-21-400 (212 seats). The aircraft will be manufactured by Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
