On August 17th 2015 the second Airbus A321 joined the fleet of Transaero Airlines; the jet was delivered to the carrier under an operating lease agreement with ICBC Leasing (China), the carrier’s press-service reports.

«The jet features a two-class cabin layout seating 184 passengers (176 seats in the economy class and 8 seats in the business class). The airliner will be operated on the most popular medium-haul domestic and international routes. In the network of programs aimed at increasing the airline’s efficiency Transaero is optimizing its fleet. The carrier purchases aircraft offering the highest fuel efficiency and meeting the market’s requirements in terms of passenger capacity. Aircraft, which are not in demand, will be put out of operation,» the carrier explained.

In 2015, besides two Airbus A321 and one Boeing 737-800 jets already delivered to Transaero, the carrier will take delivery of two Airbus A321 liners. At the same time, wide-body long-haul aircraft, which have a passenger capacity two times higher compared to currently delivered jets, are being put out of operation.

The current optimization will help increase the quality of Transaero’s fleet and decrease operating costs: these goals are in line with the airline’s strategy.
