Irkutsk Aviation Plant delivered three Su-30SM and three Yak-130 jets to Russian Ministry of Defense. Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russian Federation, Dmitry Rogozin, who arrived in Irkutsk to participate in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the enterprise, took part in the acceptance of these aircraft, RIA IrkutskMedia reports.

Dmitry Rogozin inspected the plant’s workshops and checked the status of production. "I would like to congratulate all the employees with the anniversary. The state contract will be implemented. Such aircraft may be manufactured only by high-skilled personnel using state-of-the-art equipment", - he said.

We remind you that in the network of a state contract signed on December 5th 2011, Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAP) must deliver 55 Yak-10 operational trainers to the Ministry of Defense by 2015. Moreover, 14 Su-30SM fighters should be delivered to the ministry this year. Under the signed contracts IAP will deliver 60 Su-30SM multi-role fighters to Russian air forces by 2016.

According to RIA IrkutskMedia, the share of IAP in the State Defense Order increased 35 times over the period from 2012 to 2014.
