The cost of Russia’s latest military aircraft (Su-34, Su-30 and Su-35) exceeded 1 billion rubles, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian air forces, Colonel General, Viktor Bondarev.

Today Russia is exporting military aircraft, which cost from $30 to $50 million depending on a jet’s configuration.
"We are taking deliveries of new aircraft; each Su-30, Su-35 and Su-34 costs more than 1 billion rubles", — Bondarev said during his interview at Russia-24 TV channel.

According to him, the air forces need state-of-the-art airfields in order to operate these aircraft efficiently. At present Russia operates about 150 airfields; most of them have been constructed in the Soviet era.
