On July 30th 2014 the meeting of the Board of Directors of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) was held. The Board decided to terminate the powers of the former president of SCAC, Andrey Kalinovski, due to his decision to join another company. Ilya Tarasenko was appointed president of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company. Tarasenko has been working as Deputy CEO of RAC MiG since 2011, press-service of SCAC reports.
“Tarasenko graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute. Until 2009 he has been working in the Sukhoi Holding Company. Right from his graduation he played an active part in establishment of the company’s program management system. He was responsible for integration of several related projects under a single control system, increase of resource management efficiency and risk mitigation in the network of comprehensive aircraft development and upgrade programs. In 2009 he joined Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG” (RAC MiG). In 2012 Tarasenko successfully completed a course “Executive Education” as part of the program for strategic human resource management at Moscow School of Management “Skolkovo”, - said in the SCAC’s statement.
“At this stage of Sukhoi Superjet 100 program we have successfully launched the jet’s serial production and we see positive results in terms of SSJ 100 operation. The primary task we have set as shareholders before Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company is to ensure efficient consolidation of engineering, manufacturing and marketing resources in order to achieve sales growth and improve commercial performance of SCAC. Ilya Tarasenko’s experience in the area of program management will help solve this problem with maximum efficiency”, - said the Chairman of SCAC’s Board of Directors, the President of United Aircraft Corporation, Mikhail Pogosyan.
