The head of Vnesheconombank, Vladimir Dmitriev, president of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Mikhail Pogosyan, and CEO of Alenia Aermacci (Italy), Giuseppe Giordo, discussed the issues related to establishment of a competitive system for financing export deliveries of Russian civil aircraft. The negotiations were held in the headquarters of a joint venture between Sukhoi and Alenia Aermacchi in Venice, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
"The product is not just an aircraft; it is the integrated solution comprising efficient after-sales support system and support of export deliveries. Without VEB’s support and our joint efforts focused on establishment of a competitive finance system the program’s success would have been impossible, - Pogosyan noted. – Most important, we are developing the efficient system assuring the competitive export of Russian-produced civil aircraft".
During the visit Vladimir Dmitriev inspected the SSJ 100 full-flight simulator. There are only three such simulators: one of them is located in Venice, the other one – in Zhukovsky (Moscow Region) and the third FFS is owned by Aeroflot, the largest Superjet operator. The simulator is capable of simulating any flight and weather conditions. All the Superjet pilots are being trained using these simulators. So far 344 pilots have been trained for different SSJ 100 operators. It takes about one month to train one pilot.
It was also stated during negotiations that three Superjets are being customized at the SuperJet International’s customization center. All these vehicles will be delivered to Interjet (Mexico). Today the carrier is operating 8 jets of the type. We remind you that the Mexican airline placed an order for 20 SSJ 100 aircraft; the deliveries should be completed by late 2015.
Customization of one aircraft takes a month. The ninth Interjet’s SSJ 100 liner will be ready in July or August 2014.
