Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company is negotiating with several Chinese carriers on deliveries of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) to China, Interfax reports with reference to the company’s press-service.

"China shows interest in Sukhoi SuperJet 100; we are negotiating deliveries as well as possibilities for launching serial production of the jet in China", - head of the Sales Support Department of SCAC, Daniel Tsalikov, stated at Civil Aviation Leaders Strategy Forum - 2014.

According to him, SCAC is negotiating deliveries of 50 SSJ 100s to Okay Airways.

"By Chinese standards this is an average airline, however, by world standards it is a large carrier operating a large fleet and having an extensive route network", - Tsalikov noted. He said that Russian party is negotiating with the O-bay Aircraft Company investment fund (the parties have signed a memorandum of understanding earlier). "They are interested in purchase of up to 100 aircraft: at first the aircraft will be delivered to the customer and later China will start carrying out final assembly of the jets and developing the SSJ100 production in China", - Tsalikov said.

At that, he noted that the Chinese party is interested in development of production of composites; in future China plans to launch a full-cycle production of composites in its territory. He explained that O-bay Aircraft Company is an investment fund located in a special economic zone, where an airport with 5 runways and a capacity of 80 million passengers per year is being constructed.
