In 2015 United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) may sign some contracts with Russian Ministry of Defense for delivery of about 170 combat aircraft, RIA Novosti reports with reference to ex-Commander-in-Chief of Russian air forces, Director of Military Aviation Programs Directorate of UAC, Vladimir Mikhailov.
"In 2015 we will sign additional contracts. At present we have contracts for delivery of 360 aircraft and we will sign new contracts for delivery of 170-180 ones in 2015", — Mikhailov said at RSN radio station.
He explained that this refers to Yak-130, Su-30SM, Su-35, T-50, MiG-29K/KUB (for Russian navy), MiG-29SMT aircraft. Moreover, in late 2014 or 2015 UAC may sign contracts for delivery of MiG-35 jets.
In addition, Mikhailov told the journalists about difficulties connected with the implementation of the State Arms Program; in particular, they are caused by the current geopolitical situation. However, he said that the program will be implemented. "The 2014 program will be fully implemented", — he said.
