A former Senior Vice-President Commercial of SuperJet International (SJI; responsible for sales of SSJ 100 aircraft in foreign countries), Alex Glock, will be replaced by a non-resident of Russia, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to a statement made by SJI CEO, Nazario Cauceglia, at Farnborough 2014 airshow.

"I can only tell you that he is not Russian", - he said speaking about candidates for the vice president position. Cauceglia said that the new vice-president may be appointed soon but he did not specify the exact date.

According to the CEO of Alenia Aermacchi concern, Giuseppe Giordo, the new top-manager should possess a vast expertise in the area of regional commercial aviation as well as ability to integrate mentality of Russian and Italian partners in the network of a single project.

We remind you that ITAR-TASS reported earlier that Alex Glock, the former top-manager of Embraer (Brazil), was appointed SuperJet International’s Senior Vice-President Commercial. He should have been responsible for sales of SSJ 100 aircraft in Europe and America. However, he left SJI in July without explaining the reasons behind the decision.

SJI is the joint venture between Alenia Aermacchi (Italy) and Sukhoi Holding Company (Russia) responsible for marketing, sales, customization and deliveries of SSJ 100 aircraft to Europe, America, Oceania and Africa.
