Sky Aviation (Indonesia) will resume operation of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) regional aircraft, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to the president of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC, part of United Aircraft Corporation), Andrey Kalinovsky.
"We have found solution to our problems in Indonesia. The flights of the aircraft will be resumed", - he said.
Sky Aviation was the launch customer for SSJ100 aircraft in South-East Asia. The carrier took delivery of three jets of the type, however, its SSJ 100 fleet was grounded in March 2014 due to financial difficulties; the airline started looking for investors.
At present SSJ 100 airliners are operated by the following Russian carriers: Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Yakutia Airlines, Moskovia Airlines, Gazprom Avia and Centre-South as well as Interjet (Mexico).
