Deutsche Bank was chosen as privatization agent for Sheremetyevo International Airport (SIA), Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the Federal Agency for State Property Management.
Thus, Deutsche Bank is the only contractor in the network of the state contract for privatization of the state-owned ordinary registered shares (83,04%) of Sheremetyevo International Airport.
In May 2014 Ministry of Economic Development of Russian Federation recommended Deutsche Bank as the privatization agent for SIA. This bank specified the lowest amount of commission in its offer.
In accordance with 2014-2016 forecast privatization plan approved by the government, Russian Federation will no longer be the airport’s shareholder.
The privatization agent was chosen from a list of companies approved by a government decree. The following companies were included in the list: Credit Suisse Bank (Moscow), VTB Capital, Deutsche Bank, VEB Capital, Commercial Bank “J.P. Morgan Bank International”, Merrill Lynch Securities, Morgan Stanley Bank, Renaissance Broker, The Auction House of Russian Federation, branch of Goldman Sachs (Russia) private unlimited company.
The major shareholders of SIA are: Federal Agency for State Property Management (83,04%), Aeroflot (8,9%), VEB (4,2%) and VTB (3,7%).
