Transaero Airlines performed a direct scheduled flight on route Moscow – Taipei - Moscow on July 2nd – 3rd 2014, the carrier’s press-service reports.
“The weekly UN505/506 flights are operated from Moscow Vnukovo airport; Boeing 767-300 aircraft featuring a two-class cabin layout are operated on this route. The schedule is as follows (all times local): departure from Moscow on Wednesdays at 15.00, arrival in Taipei at 06.50 the next day; departure from Taipei on Thursdays at 09.40, arrival in Moscow at 17.30”, - the airline noted.
A welcoming ceremony was held at the airport of Taipei, upon arrival of the Transaero’s aircraft. Two firetrucks made a water arch above the jet. The high demand for a new product was confirmed by the fact that 90% of tickets the return flight were sold. Transaero Airlines already has experience in operating flights to Taipei - the carrier performed its first flight to the administrative center of Taiwan in 2002, the press-service added.
Under the code-sharing agreement between Transaero Airlines and its Taiwanese partner China Airlines, starting from July 9th 2014, the flights on the Moscow-Taipei route will become the interline agreement flights. The flights will be operated under the UN/CI code. Transaero’s aircraft will be operated on this route, while the carrier’s partners will have the right of free ticket sale for these flights.
“The nonstop flights between Moscow and Taipei should help develop the business and travel links between Russia and Taiwan” – Transaero noted.
