AirBridgeCargo Airlines, Russia’s largest scheduled cargo airline (part of Volga-Dnepr Group), has won the award in ‘Best All Cargo Carrier’ category at the 28th Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) held in Shanghai on June 17th 2014. The award was established by Cargonews Asia. The AFSCA awards are highly appreciated by the industry, because only shippers can vote for the transport companies, the carrier’s press-service reports.
The criteria for the ‘Best All Cargo Airline’ award were: meeting the highest performance standards; wide capabilities in terms of the route network, including interline agreements; preservation and safety of cargo during transportation; effective use of IT technologies and high level of customer service.

Asia, which is one of the world’s largest cargo markets, has always been the key market for AirBridgeCargo Airlines since the very beginning of its work back in 2004. Since then the airline has been developing successfully in Asia and it plans to strengthen its positions in the region by means of expanding its fleet and route network.
We remind you that 2013 was a record year for AirBridgeCargo Airlines as it carried 340,000 tons of cargo, its cargo traffic was 2,609,000 freight ton-kilometers (FTKs) and the average load factor was 72% (considerably above the industry average). The airline also strengthened its position as the leader in the Russian market having a market share of over 30% on major domestic routes.
Today the route network of ABC comprises 25 destinations in 12 countries, including Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea. The airline connects the largest flows of cargo from Asia to Europe and North America via Russia. The carrier operates one of the youngest and most advanced fleets comprising 12 Boeing 747 freighters (5 Boeing 747-8s and 7 Boeing 747-400s).
