A joint project between Russia and China for production of next-generation multi-purpose airliners and heavy helicopters will cost about $7-8 billion, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Yuri Slusar.
«It is a medium term program. To implement this project we need some core technologies in order to develop a next-generation aircraft», — Yuri Slusar said noting that the project will help increase the availability of flights from Mainland China to coastal regions.
«Our Chinese partners provide technologies, market and investments, while Russia provides technologies and investments. The investment market prompts the participation of a third partner in this project. We are waiting for companies from any countries able to offer some technologies», — he explained.
