Russia will complete the deliveries of 48 Mi-171 helicopters to China this year, the Deputy Director of the Rosoboronexport’s Helicopter Export Department, Vladislav Kuzmichev, told ITAR-TASS at HeliRussia-2014 exhibition.
"This year we will complete the deliveries of Mi-171 helicopters to China. This contract for delivery of 48 vehicles of the type was signed in 2012. We will fulfill it in summer", - Kuzmichev said.
He reminded that Russia is also implementing a contract for delivery of 24 Mi-171Sh helicopters to Peru. "We will start the deliveries this year and fulfill this contract next year", - he added.
This year Russia will also start deliveries of Mi-28N helicopters, however, Rosoboronexport declined to unveil details related to customers and number of the vehicles to be delivered. "We have already signed some contracts and this year we will start export deliveries of Mi-28N", - Kuzmichev said.
Speaking of Ka-52, he reminded that the helicopter was presented for the first time at Paris Air Show in 2013. "This is a new helicopter having a special configuration (it has two lift rotors) that is why we have to explain all its advantages to the customers. It is suitable for performing flights under conditions of high altitude and high ambient temperature. However, it is too early to discuss any deliveries", - Kuzmichev added.
